What is photosynthesis?
Photosynthesis is the process in which plants use, to convert the energy from the sun to make food for energy.
What are the substances required?
In order too carry this out, plants need not only sunlight, but also water and carbon dioxide. The food they make is called glucose, or better known as sugar. For Photosynthesis to occur, Plants need sunlight, Water, carbon dioxide and chlorophyll.
The word equation for photosynthesis is:
Carbon dioxide + Water ---> Glucose + Oxygen + Water.
